Citrus-Marinated Fish Tacos
Use the best, freshest corn tortillas you can (heat/char them briefly in a dry skillet or over a gas burner, for extra flavor and flexibility). In such a simple dish, they make all the difference.

Tacos
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 3 Tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ white onion sliced plus more diced for serving
- ¼ cup corriander leaves and stems
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 450 grams mild white-fleshed fish (skinned)
- salt
- pepper
- 4 corn tortillas
Slaw
- ⅛ head of greem/purple cabbage shredded 2 cups
- 2 Tbsp corriander leaves and stems chopped
- 1 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp honey
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Tacos
whisk garlic, orange juice, oregano, onion, coriander, oil and lime juice in a bowl
season fish with salt and pepper.
spread half of the marinade over the bottom of a glass baking dish
place the fish on top and spoon over remaining marinade.
cover and refrigerate for 30 mins; turning the fish over once
Slaw
toss together the cabbage, coriander, half the lime juice, honey, salt and pepper in a bowl until evenly coated
