Nana’s Carrot Cake

it's only the best carrot cake I've ever tasted

Ingredients
  

  • 2½ cups flour
  • â…“ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 450 grams crushed pineapple
  • 4 eggs
  • 1½ cups chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups grated carrot
  • 1 cup neutral oil

Instructions
 

  • Sift dry ingredients together
  • Drain pineapple
  • Make a well in the dry ingredients and add all other ingredients
  • Mix well
  • Pour into 20cm cake tin
  • bake at 180°C for 45 mins or until cooked
  • serve with cream cheese icing
