Nana’s Carrot Cake
it's only the best carrot cake I've ever tasted
Ingredients
- 2½ cups flour
- â…“ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 450 grams crushed pineapple
- 4 eggs
- 1½ cups chopped walnuts
- 2 cups grated carrot
- 1 cup neutral oil
Instructions
- Sift dry ingredients together
- Drain pineapple
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and add all other ingredients
- Mix well
- Pour into 20cm cake tin
- bake at 180°C for 45 mins or until cooked
- serve with cream cheese icing
