Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dates chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter DF: 15ml oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Pour 1 cup of boiling water over first four ingredients
  • Leave to cool then add sifted flour and baking powder
  • Mix together and bake at 180°C for apporx an hour
